We have to do some form of exercise. You may choose to ignore the obligation, but your body and health will suffer greatly for this choice. You are NEVER too old to start training.

Muscle withers away as a result of a sedentary lifestyle, and muscle withers faster as we age. This gives way to fat gain, stiff joints, poor balance and a regression in quality of life. By fighting back, by getting strong, we can reverse our own physical decline. Lifting weights do as much for your heart’s health as cardio. By restoring muscle mass we can elevate the bodies metabolism, improve bone density and decrease blood pressure.

Fit 60+ is a strength and conditioning class exclusively for over 60s that focuses on building strength, improving cardiovascular fitness and improving flexibility. All exercises are adapted to suit the individual.

Classes are 60 minutes in duration and group sizes are kept small to ensure our members get the best quality coaching.

We work around aches, pains and any previous or existing injuries by adapting or changing exercises accordingly. During each session there will be a huge emphasis on technique, we want you to move safely and to the best of your ability.

Previous exercise experience is not expected or required. Our foundation course will give you the skills and knowledge you need to attend classes and move safely and competently.  The foundation course also acts as a chance to get to know us and we will get to know you and how you move and learn about any difficulties you may have prior to starting classes. This allows us to completely tailor sessions to your needs.

Teens


60 minute instructor lead group sessions designed specifically for teenagers from 13 – 17 years of age.  Our Teens classes emphasize physical development through games and age-appropriate workouts. Most importantly we’re all about educating young adults and building healthy habits from a young age.

Obesity is a growing concern in the U.K. with young adults leading a sedentary lifestyle, often impacting health. Our Teens program is focused on developing a positive association between fitness and physical activity and fundamental enjoying the process. Our classes are comprised of varying barbell movements, basic gymnastics and conditioning workouts.

Under the close supervision of our expert coaches, teens will learn to build strength, stamina, endurance and confidence. All of the movements are taught safely and effectively

These classes are open to all teens within the appropriate age groups. No baseline level of fitness is expected or required.

Teens

Just Sweat


Absolutely no burpees. ‘Just Sweat’ is a 60minute class designed to make you sweat and elevate your heart rate using intervals, functional and strongman training.

Drop the no pain, no gain’ attitude to training. Exercise doesn’t have to be painful or extreme in order to be effective. We’re not interested in boot camps or unsustainable rapid weight loss we are looking to create lasting change for our clients.  At The Studio we work hard to create a sustainable approach to training that clients can benefit from long term.

Perfectly complementing our Lift + Sweat classes, Just Sweat will improve cardiovascular fitness and endurance. Experience 45mins of body weight and weighted interval training followed by a variation of mobility and stretching exercises. You will walk away feeling invigorated and energised.

Just Sweat

Just Stretch


45minute ‘just stretch’ sessions are programmed to improve mobility and flexibility where you need it most.

We can’t fix your desk job, or make your commute to work any easier; but what we can do is help you build a strong, flexible body that is more resilient, significantly reducing your risk of injury and improving your posture.

Driving and Desk work require us to sit for long periods of time in the same position and no matter who you are eventually this will cause the body to feel stiff and can eventually lead to chronic pain.

This lack of variation in movement can put you at higher risk of injury. This lack of movement can result in the ability to perform simple movement patterns such as a squat. ‘If you don’t use it, you lose it’.

Move and stretch sessions will be tailored to you We work around previous or existing injuries and can adapt stretches to suit your needs we can progress or regress movements with the use of blocks and bands. With these corrections guidance you will see a huge difference in your mobility.

Here at The Studio, we place a huge emphasis on form, making any necessary corrections to ensure you get the most out of each and every stretch to regain mobility and improvement quality of movement.

No previous experience is expected or required. This is not yoga. The slower pace with added technical corrections will ensure you feel a stretch before we move on to the next movement.

Lift + Sweat


Group sessions are programmed to incorporate both cardiovascular and strength training.

The 60-minute group sessions are inclusive and group sizes are kept small, allowing us to maintain a high standard of coaching. Each session can be adapted to fit your individual needs and everyone works at his or her own pace.

There are no mirrors, no egos and no fads. Our approach to training is progressive and sustainable. Sessions are structured carefully and each member is given a logbook to track progress.

Getting to know you and the way you move during the Foundation Course ensures we can effectively work closely with you during Group Sessions. We implement everything we have practiced together, whilst reinforcing good technique. This is personal training within a group environment. This attention to detail is what lays the foundation for progression and longevity.

Bookings are made easy with our Studio App. We post our group sessions two weeks in advance, which you can book with a single click. Either use a credit per session, or opt for unlimited access per month.
